As a successful company based in the Black Forest in Germany, we take our social and environmental responsibilities very seriously. These range from working conditions and the promotion of projects in the local environment to taking a respectful approach to nature. Sustainability is also evident in our product range – all umaNATURALS writing instruments are manufactured, finished and delivered ClimatePartner-certified.
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. We take responsibility and make a tangible contribution to climate protection: in cooperation with ClimatePartner, we have calculated the emissions of our umaNATURALS series and offset them by supporting certified, internationally recognised climate protection projects. This is how the first uma ClimatePartner-certified writing instrument series were created.
However, we would not be uma if we focused on just individual products. That is why we have also aligned our site in Fischerbach, in the heart of the Black Forest, accordingly: the manufacturing and finishing of our writing instruments are carried out in a ClimatePartner-certified manner.
In this way, we make a measurable contribution to climate protection.
When making a purchase decision, customers no longer only look at the price or the quality of a product. The customer wants to know how a product is manufactured and who is responsible for it. Unfortunately, responsible corporate behaviour is not always a matter of course. We have put our actions to the external test and have received several awards.
